THE BENEFITS OF USING SOY WAX
When it comes to shopping for candles, the scent and aroma shouldn’t be the only factor to consider. Candles can be made out of a variety of different waxes, with each wax having different properties that affect the performance. Candles can be made from paraffin wax, soya wax, palm wax, and granulated wax just to name a few. Angels Of Light uses 100% organic soya wax for all of our candles, and that’s just one of our secrets that sets our products apart from the rest!
WHAT IS SOYA WAX
Soya wax is a 100% natural wax derived from the vegetable soybeans. Soya beans are one of the major agriculture crops grown in the United States, behind only corn. Most of the world’s soya beans are grown and harvested in the Midwestern United States. After the beans are harvested, they are then cleaned, cracked, de-hulled and rolled into flakes. Soya bean oil is extracted from the flakes and the leftover flakes are used for animal feed.
WHY CHOOSE SYOA WAX?
Soya wax is made from environmentally friendly, renewable resources; whereas classic paraffin wax is made from petroleum and is non-renewable. Not only are there “green” advantages to choosing soya wax over a different type of candle wax, but soya wax also burns slower than paraffin wax, meaning you get a candle that lasts longer. While all candles emit some black soot while burning, candles made from soya wax burn cleaner and result in less soot. Another reason to choose soya wax when it comes to candles is the fact that it is an excellent fragrance carrier that does not require chemical amplifiers. The result is a well-balanced true to scent candle.
ANGELS OF LIGHT SOYA WAX CANDLES
All of the candles at Angels Of Light Candles are made from soya wax and by now you probably understand why! Since soya wax is a natural product, you may notice slight variations throughout the year. The wax may be very soft in its solid state, or as hard as a rock during other times. Sometimes the wax melts so clear and translucent, and other times it may melt and look a little cloudy. All of this is normal and expected when choosing a soya candle. We take pride in the quality of our products at The Angel Of light Studio and do regular tests to ensure we are offering the best quality to our customers. ECO SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
Before I decided to start a new vegan friendly candle business I felt, as being a vegan myself and knowing how important it is to try and do my bit for the environment, it was important to not only make sure the candles were
Eco- Friendly but also the packaging. I try to avoid using plastic and anything that can or does harm to the environment.
I am fully committed to using recyclable material, and that’s why all of our candles, and and packaging are 100%
Eco-Friendly.
It will always be important to us to be as eco-friendly as possible and to operate responsibly with the environment in mind, and we will continue to look for more and more ways that we can do our bit!
Our candles take seven days to produce from start to finish, so as you can see, it is not a quick process. It takes time and a lot of effort to make sure they are made with love and then infused with the Angelic Reiki Healing of Light energy. Each candle will be infused for 45 minutes to enable to be used to its full capacity. Your focus and intention is extremely important.
